2 people safe after SUV crashes into retention pond

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two people are safe after their SUV crashed into a retention pond.

The crash happened at the intersection of Beaver and Lee streets.

Police tell Action News a car failed to yield and slammed into a white SUV with an adult and child inside.

The SUV went into the retention pond. The two people inside made it out safely. The driver of the other car was also not hurt.

Crews are pulling the SUV out of the pond right now.
