2-year-old suffers burns in Arlington house fire
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says a 2-year-old girl is in the hospital after the house she was in caught fire Sunday afternoon.
JFRD District Chief Mike Strickland said they received a 911 call around 3:37 p.m. and responded to the house on the 2400 block of Claro Drive, in Arlington.
A 2-year-old girl was transported to UF Health with burn injuries.
Strickland said the girl and a man were the only two home at the time of the fire.
Strickland told Action News they do not know the cause of the fire at this time and have not estimated the damages.
The house suffered heavy fire damage in the blaze.
