JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jobs, jobs and more jobs! That's what's coming to the River City.
"Great to be adding jobs and more than jobs, careers," Mayor Alvin Brown said.
Web.com plans to create 200 new positions, a majority of which will stay right here at its Jacksonville headquarters. CEO David Brown grew up in the River City, so is honored to help those out any way he can.
"This is our time and our company. We just happen to be fortunate to be in Jacksonville where people are looking for jobs and have great character," he said.
The new positions include writers, editors, graphic designers and web fulfillment along with managerial positions. Even better compensation ranges from $25,000 to $150,000!
"If they want something that's challenging and fast pace, this place is for them," employee Jennifer Buchanon said.
Web.com really took after acquiring Register.com in 2010 and Network Solutions in 2011. It tripled its sales volume and increased its number of customers from 275,000 to nearly 3 million. Chairman Brown says they'll continue to expand and continue to serve the go-getters in Jacksonville.
"We love the city, it's a a great place to employ and our mission of helping small business, we need to grow," he said.
No experience is required for entry level positions.
