BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. -- A massive fire damaged the Salvation Army Keystone Camp and Conference Center in Starke Saturday morning.

A Bradford County Deputy spotted flames around 2 a.m. and called for assistance.

Bradford County Emergency Management says at least three different agencies helped to battle the flames in the 16,000 square foot dining hall.

Michael Heeder, with BCEM, reports that no one was injured in the fire and that nearly 300 camp goers were safely evacuated.

Keystone Camp and Conference Center is owned and operated by The Salvation Army.

According to the Salvation Army's website, the camp is a year-round center that offers a unique, rustic setting for conferences, retreats, camps, school trips and other gatherings.

The extent of the damage to the camp is still being tallied.

The official cause of the fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal’s office.
