47 tons of trash pulled from Black Creek

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- Black Creek almost reached record flooding last July because of Tropical Storm Debby. The storm caused tons of debris to clog the river's banks.

It is quite possible the terms garbage and trash are not correctly identifying all types of material that is being removed. There is a lot of natural debris like trees that were uprooted and submerged. Personal property that was washed away and damaged wasn't trash initially, but shouldn't remain in a creek system.
