MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- Six convicted felons have been arrested for hunting with firearms.

The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission teamed up with the Clay County Sheriff's Office and federal agents for "Operation Gun It."

Law enforcement caught the six in the Camp Blanding Wildlife Management Area. Felons are not allowed to have firearms and can only hunt with archery equipment or traditional muzzle loaders.

Four of the six suspects are from Northeast Florida.

They are: Edward McCormick of Jacksonville; Royce Smallwood of Orange Park; Marvin Dunlap of Middleburg; and Douglas Thaxton of Middleburg.
