JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The U.S. and Brazil Davis Cup teams will each hold free, open practice sessions ahead of the first-round matches.
Doors at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena will open at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, January 30. The first 600 fans there will be allowed inside to watch the sessions. The American team is expected to practice from 4-5 p.m. while Team Brazil will follow immediately after and end at 6 p.m.
The U.S. Team, captained by former U.S. Open winner Jim Courier, features John Isner, Sam Querrey, Bob and Mike Bryan. From Brazil, Thomaz Bellucci, Thiago Alves, Marcelo Melo, and Bruno Soares make up the squad.
The opening matches of the World Group in Davis Cup play are set for February 1-3.
