WAYCROSS, Ga. -- Police have released the 911 calls from the night of a police shooting in Waycross.
The female caller told police she needed an ambulance at 1013 Reid Street because her fiance took a couple handfuls of pills.
She said the pills were his diabetic medicine. She also said he had been drinking alcohol.
Officers responded to the home. Investigators say 43-year-old Jack Roberson charged at them with two undisclosed weapons when officers shot him.
The officers remain on paid administrative leave which is standard procedure when lethal force is used.
