JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Unseasonably cold temperatures tonight will lead to some patchy light inland frost by Friday morning as lows dip to the mid 30s well inland to low 40s at the beaches. The highest risk for some frost will be between Highway 301 and I-75 in Florida where a few spots could brifly touch freezing. Temperatures will dip as low as the mid to upper 30s over the north and west side of Jax to near or a little above 40 close to the St. Johns River, the intracoastal and beaches. Clouds will gradually increase Friday with cool afternoon highs in the 60s. A strong storm system will affect the area this weekend with periods of rain and thunderstorms.
