JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Scattered showers will occur this evening with brief but heavy downpours in a few spots. Otherwise skies will be partly cloudy with temperatures slowly falling from the 80s into the 70s. The "Friday Night Blitz" will be warm and humid for High School football games with widely scattered but locally heavy showers. The weekend will be very warm and muggy with only isoated to widely scattered showers and storms. Most of the weekend will be dry with afternoon highs close to 90 degrees inland, low to mid 80s at the beaches. Rain and storms will increase again early next week.
