What the heck did she want them to do. Close down forever? I would have opened my store as soon as 5-0 said I could. As far as the stuff thrown in the trash. Take it home if you want it. Don't litter our sidewalks with it.

I disagree with the way you guys have portrayed this buisness. It is a buisness, not a gravesite or a funeral home. They have been gracious but is time for them to move on also and they cant have a permamnent memorial out in front of their store front. The fact that the girls family is looking to sue the store is also ridiculous. Deflect everything and blame everyone else for this tragedy. Sad all the way around.

There used to be law on the books that any store that operates similar to convenience store must have 2 employee's on duty at all times. This does nothing to stop man with gun but does add an element of security in that one them might notice something and call police before the murders happen. I am thinking that law was removed from the books after a few lobbyists with cash made trips to our state capital. About the reopening what does she expect her daughters death site to become a monument and temple to crime? If we did that everywhere someone was killed there would be very very few businesses left. I the mother is grieving and wants to punish anyone who had something to do with her child's stupid death, but this is not the business that killed her it was thug wanting to make a name for himself. If she wants make some good out this push for a 2 store clerk minimum in any store that has national chains. Exempt some mom and pop stores but if your 7-11, Verizon, Sprint, Kangroo, etc must have 2 clerks at all times. The teller should be behind glass just like when you go to pay your cable, telephone, or bank bill. Expensive to put in plexi glass ? Yes very much, so but the life of an employee that is saved by it priceless.

I can imagine nothing more tragic than losing a child. I wonder if this is the same Darlene Farah charged with child neglect 2 years ago?

Did the author of this story take English as a Second Language? While I was reading the story, I had the feeling I was reading one of those Nigerian Scam Letters. You know them the words and the sentence layout is all wrong.
