JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Michael Dunn's former neighbor, Charles Hendrix, had plenty to say about the man charged with killing Jordan Davis.
"There were several times [Dunn made] comments to me, 'I can't wait till somebody tries something with me when I have my gun,'" said Hendrix, who made these comments about Dunn in an interview with Davis’ family attorney, John Phillips.
Hendrix said he told police the same thing after Dunn’s arrest for murder in November 2012.
Hendrix lived next door to Michael Dunn in Port St. Lucie. Hendrix claims he intervened back when Dunn’s now ex-wife went next door to him crying, in fear of her life.
"He had threatened to blow her brains out, so I asked her, "Where's the gun?' She told me where the gun was, so I went in his home and I took his gun," said Hendrix.
Hendrix said Dunn never knew the gun was gone. He claims he returned the weapon when Dunn’s wife feared she’d be blamed for its disappearance. "I regret putting the gun back now," said Hendrix.
