JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Allied Veterans of the World is operating under a new name.

The organization's new board voted last week to change the name to Five Star Veterans Center, with STAR standing for Service Members Transition and Reintegration.

Len Loving, CEO of Allied Veterans, tells Action News, "We are working very diligently to keep the center open."

He says the center needs money to stay open beyond mid-June and is using its website to solicit donations.

The new board consists of veterans who are all members of the Florida Bar. The members are:

Keith Maynard

Peter J. Jennison

David Carstetter

It's totally despicable what this country is doing to our Veterans. But no matter what names they keep changing it to, if they don't get God fearing, AMERICAN honest people running it, the crimes will keep happening.
