Amtrak train smashes into car in Timuquana
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A disabled car on the train tracks in Timuquana was not match for an oncoming Amtrak train Monday morning.
Pintucan Rose-Emy's Nissan Altima stalled on the tracks around 10:30 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Amtrak was alerted about the incident and was unable to completely stop their train before crashing into the car.
The 55-year-old was able to safely leave her car before the collision.
Neither she nor the passengers on the train was injured.
No charges are being filed.
