JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Another round of heavy rain and storms will roll across Jacksonville, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia through this evening.  Be prepared for fast-changing weather as sun and hot temperatures give way to storms moving northeast at 10-15 mph.  Storms will be most active for Jacksonville betweeen 4:30 and 9pm then slowly diminish.  Expect rainfall rates of 1-3" per hour which will make for a rough afternoon commute and some localized flooding in some places.  Storms will also produce hundreds of lightning strikes in less than 30 minutes and a few storms could produce damaging winds.
More of the same for Friday as heavy rain and storms develop by midday and continue through the afternoon.  Click ** here ** to send First Alert weather photos and ** here ** to download the free First Alert Weather iPad App.  Tune in Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh on CBS47 and Fox30 through this evening to see when your neighborhood will get soaked.
