JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Despite efforts to save it, the 29th annual Light Boat Parade and Fireworks Spectacular is in jeopardy.
Organizers of the annual light boat parade and fireworks spectacular are struggling to find money. They say they have less than two weeks to come up with the more than $16,000 to put on the full show.
The fireworks along the St. Johns River may have to be canceled if donors don't step up.
The Marine Association is seeking corporate sponsors and individual donors. Individuals can donate on the JMA website: by clicking on the Donate tab.
About 150,000 people line the river every year to watch the festivities.
