JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Wild weather has left a local family in a bind.  Their apartment Apartment flooded during Sunday's storms, leaving them with no other option than to escape through a window.

"We couldn't even open the front door because there was so much water," said the renter, who did not want to be identified.  "We had to go out through a window.  I had to carry my one month old child out of the window.  As well as the rest of my family."

Now, she has to figure out where to go next.  She told us she doesn't want to bring her baby home to a potentially moldy, health hazard.

"Something needs to be done," she said.

Action News did contact management at the apartment complex about fixing the apartments. We were told a crew was out last night to extract the water.  And once everything is dry, they'll decide which apartments need new carpet.
