JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man is facing several charges in connection with a crash that happened three months ago.

The 38-year-old is charged with three counts of DUI with serious injury, one count of DUI with injury, two counts of DUI with property damage and one count each of DUI and possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

Police say Peters ran a red light on C.R. 210 on April 24, 2012, and hit a vehicle with four teens inside.

The driver of that car suffered serious injuries, two passengers sustained life-threatening injuries and the fourth person suffered minor injuries.

Peters' blood alcohol content the night of the crash was 0.274, over three times the legal limit.

He runs a red light, causes an accident that injures 4 people, has drugs in his possesion, and his BAC is 3 times the legal limit, and it takes three months to charge him with anything. Wow the wheels of justice really do turn slowly.
