JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Susie George still relives that fatal morning back in September. Her brother Cecil Hepler had a heart attack after someone set his home on fire as he slept.
Now, investigators are telling her who is responsible.
"I'm glad he's locked up and I do hope he pays for this, because this could happen to somebody else," she said.
This afternoon, JSO announced the arrest of Jimmi Jackson, a friend of Hepler's.
Authorities say Hepler's sister took Jackson in as Jackson dealt with hard times. Police think Jackson snapped after a dispute.
"The suspect was actually seeking revenge when he set the home on fire," said Assistant Chief Chris Butler with JSO.
Neighbors said Jackson has a history of setting things ablaze. A tip led police to him. Police say Jackson confessed to the crime.
George said it brings some peace of mind, but doesn't fill the void of "Bug," which is what she calls Cecil.
"I can't bring my brother back and I can't bring the house back. It will never replace what I've lost, especially my brother. That's what means the most to me."
Jackson is charged with murder, arson and burglary.
