JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has arrested a man, they say, admitted to killing another man in the parking lot of a Southside apartment building.

JSO says 32-year-old Maurice Johnson admitted to stabbing 22-year-old Jessie Bracelett early Monday at the Williamsburg Apartments on Toledo Road. Johnson told police he was acting in self defense.

Witnesses told police Johnson was seen punching the victim in the face and head.

Police found Bracelett's body just after 12 a.m. Monday bleeding from his chest and neck.
