Arsonist gets 30 years for apartment complex fire
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The man who set multiple fires at the Columns Apartment Complex in 2011 was sentenced Friday morning to 30 years in jail.
In September 2011, Christopher Joseph Koepke was arrested for setting fires inside two apartments at the Columns Apartment complex as well as torching five vehicles.
After the fire, Koepke filed a false insurance claim on a policy he took out the day before. The fire resulted in more than $200,000 in damages.
Koepke was convicted on two counts of First Degree Arson, five counts of Second Degree Arson and one count of False Insurance Claim.
