ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. – At a workshop on Monday, Atlantic Beach City Commissioners were able to narrow down plans for local police to two options.

According to Commissioner Jonathan Daugherty, one of the plans for the Atlantic Beach police station includes expanding the current location at 850 Seminole Road. Daugherty tells Action News that would cost approximately $1.2 million. The other option is to relocate the police station to Mayport Road at a projected cost of between $3.5 - $4.5 million. The exact address on Mayport Road remains undetermined at this time.

The commission is expected to further discuss this topic at their meeting in two weeks.
