This sounds like a job for a 45 or better yet a 12 gauge, as no dogs should be running loose, especially possibly dangerous ones. Simple truth of the matter is that there is no way I would let someone's loose animal cause harm to one of my family members or my pets and from the sound of this story these animals are a ticking time bomb. You as a property owner have the right to protect your family and property (a/k/a Pets) and if the city isn't taking the action needed then someone in the neighborhood needs to step up to the plate and end this threat once and for all. I once had a neighbor's dog climb over my fence and violently attack my puppy and when I tried to break of the fight the dog turned on me but one bullet to the head ended that issue and the police later said that I was within my rights to do what was needed to protect myself and my puppy, especially so since the attack had occurred on my property. Just too bad the dogs can’t be placed in a better home and the current owner’s fined heavily for their neglect.
