JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Michael Dunn appeared in court for a final pretrial hearing Monday morning, weeks before he is scheduled to face a jury in his murder trial.

The pretrial hearing concerned the question of public access in this high-profile case. The lawyers also argued whether jurors should be sequestered during
the trial. That is not uncommon in cases where there is much media attention prior to the case going in front of a jury. No decision was made.

A judge previously ruled people in the courtroom will not be allowed to wear clothing showing support for Davis because it may prejudice the jury.

Dunn said he shot and killed Jordan Davis in self-defense in November 2012. Police say the confrontation began when the two got in an argument over loud music coming from the SUV Davis was in with his friends.

Recently, Dunn reached a settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Davis' family. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

The trial begins Feb. 3.
