SORRENTO, Fla. -- Authorities say a central Florida man made up a story Friday about being attacked by a bear.

According to wildlife agents, Josh Hennessey was treated at a hospital near Orlando for minor injuries that he sustained while chasing a bear.

Hennessey originally said he was sitting on his porch when he heard rustling in some nearby bushes. He says that when he went to investigate, the bear jumped out and attacked him. He says the bear bit him and tried to drag him into the street.

Investigators now say Hennessey chased the bear and was injured during a fall.

There is no word if Hennessey will face charges for his claims.

Wonder if they gave him rabies vaccine as precaution. The bear probably doesn't have it but better safe than sorry.
