JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A balloon release will be held in honor of two slain teenagers on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Shore Middle School.

Best friends Jazmine Shelton, 13, and Megan Simmons, 14, were gunned down in Shelton's Northwest Jacksonville home on Aug. 10. JSO said the shooting was not random.

There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

"We just need answers. Please come forward," said Simmon's grandmother, Karen Pippen.

Anyone with information about the shooting deaths is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
