Bank robbery suspect arrested
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A man from Broward County has been arrested as a suspect in a bank robbery in St. Augustine.
U.S. Marshals arrested 32-year-old William Carl Styffe in Palm Beach County Monday morning. He's from Coconut Creek.
Investigators believe Styffe held up the BBVA/Compass Bank on U.S. 1 last week and took off in a car.
A witness gave investigators a tag number from the car.
Authorities learned, prior to the robbery, the suspect removed two tags from vehicles parked at Flagler Hospital in an effort to conceal his identity.
Styffe is also a suspect in a robbery in Volusia County last month.
