JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Baptist Medical Center and Baptist Medical Center South are among the No.1 hospitals in Jacksonville, according to a new survey
.U.S. News & World Report
rated the two hospitals as among the hospitals in town, and fourth in the state of Florida.
The news magazine reviews hospitals in 16 adult specialties. The two Baptist hospitals were recognized in 11 of those categories, including a national ranking for diabetes and endocrinology.
The hospitals received high-performing marks in these areas: cancer, cardiology & heart surgery, gastroenterology & GI surgery, geriatrics, gynecology, nephrology, neurology & neurosurgery, orthopaedics, pulmonology and urology.
