JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- Mayor Charlie Latham, along with Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach mayors, have written a letter to Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown asking him to keep open the Beaches library branch.

The branch, at 600 Third Street in Neptune Beach, serves more than 42,000 Beaches citizens and is a spot for various meetings.

In the age of the internet why can't we have public library online ? Seems to me it would be a great way to preserve knowledge and make it available to everyone for free. No late fees either.
