Bids sent to contractors to fix Mathews Bridge

Barbie, you must live in a dream world. This is a government contract, and the government has already ESTIMATED a 3 million dollar cost. What that really means is the contractors will ask for 5 million and by the time the project is done it will cost 10 million and need repairs to be considered safe. Does the new court house ring a bell?

Seriously????????????? 3 million dollars??????????????? What are they going to do, take down the whole bridge and build a new one? Or are they going to replace everything with 14 carat gold!!! That is what is the biggest problem in Jacksonville....people are constantly overpaying for services because no one ever questions it! I've never seen anything like it on any project! I'm from the Washington, D.C. area where housing and rent is at least triple what it is here and even they wouldn't charge that much! People up there question things....people down here just say "okay".
