TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Some state lawmakers said they want to ban convicted sex offenders from watching any type of pornography while on probation.

Sen. Kelli Stargel of Lakeland filed the bill earlier this week.
Under current law, a sex offender can watch porn if it's not relevant to their sexual offense.

Civil liberties advocates said there's no evidence that banning the porn will stop sex offenders from re-offending.

This proposed bill sounds about as enforceable as some of our proposed traffic laws - like no cell phone usage.
