PALATKA, Fla. -- The body of a little girl found in a shallow grave has been positively identified as that of Taraji Gordon.

Deputies recovered the body of the 2-year-old earlier this week in Crescent City.

The girl's mother, 32-year-old Rachel Fryer, is being held on charges of aggravated child neglect.

Investigators said Taraji stopped breathing last Thursday.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is not releasing a cause of death.

Fryer had her children taken away from her in 2011 when one of them died of positional asphyxiation, or co-sleeping death. No charges were filed in that case. Fryer had her children returned in late 2013 when she completed classes and requirements set by the court.
