ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- North Beach Utilities is warning its customers that they might want to boil their tap water before they consume it.

The utility company issued a precautionary boil water notice Saturday for many of its customers in St. Johns County.

The company says a loss of pressure in its pipes is the reason they issued the advisory.

It is advised that all water be brought up to a boil before consumption.

The notice will remain in effect until bacteria samples come back saying the water is safe to drink.

Residents with questions in regards to warning can call North Beach Utilities at 904-824-1806.
