JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bomb squad unit determined that an acid bomb found at a Fort Caroline apartment complex was harmless.
Police say they responded about 6:30 p.m.to Caroline Square Apartments near the 5900 block of Fort Caroline Road after a neighbor called police to report an explosion.
Police determined it was an acid bomb -- a plastic bottle with aluminum foil and an unknown type of substance that had exploded.
There were no injuries and no reports of damage.
Police do not have any suspects.
