Bradford County correctional deputy arrested
BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. --A Bradford County correctional deputy was arrested and fired today after drugs were found at her home.
This morning, the Bradford County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit completed an investigation into an employee possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia at her home.
Caron Hayes was interviewed and admitted to the possession and use of the marijuana.
She was booked into the Bradford County Jail, but will be transferred to another jail facility for precautionary measures.
Hayes was first hired in 1999, resigned on in 2006 and rehired full time in July 2007. She is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
