Brent's Blog: Backups prepare to replace injured Jags
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars continued their West Coast preparations for Sunday's game against Seattle today at San Jose State University.
Gus Bradley gave an injury update that included an unfavorable report on running back Maurice Jones-Drew. Bradley said there is some swelling still in Mojo's left ankle. Jones-Drew's status for Sunday is up in the air.
If Jones-Drew can't play, then Jordan Todman likely will get the start, while Denard Robinson and Justin Forsett will also see time.
Cornerback Alan Ball was held out of practice today because of a groin injury and might not be able to play on Sunday.
Quarterback Blaine Gabbert continues to progress and threw the ball pretty well on Wednesday according to Bradley. Gabbert's reps were limited on Thursday and he remains doubtful for the game Sunday.
The Jaguars will continue to practice in San Jose on Friday before leaving for Seattle on Saturday.
