JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Morning rain and clouds have kept temperatures a little lower today but there has been enough afternoon sun to push temperatures well into the 80s to near 90 degrees.  So scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will develop through the evening with some brief heavy rain but overall coverage will be widely scattered (less than a third of the area receiving additional rainfall).  A strong complex of storms over Southwest Georgia should weaken as it moves southeast tonight but the combination of the disturbance driving the storms + a humid air mass could lead to a few lingering showers or storms overnight.  Thursday will begin hot and humid under partly sunny skies followed by another round of scattered afternoon showers and storms.  Click ** here ** to download the FREE First Alert Weather iPad App.
