JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- A classic mid August tropical air mass will lead to a mix of sun, rain and high heat and humidity.  Onshore east to southeast winds will produce showers near the coast and beaches overnight into the morning.  The rain -- plus a few thunderstorms -- will push well inland in the afternoon with most of the late day rain west of I-95.  Temperatures will be seasonably hot with highs ranging from the mid to upper 80s at the beaches to low to mid 90s inland.  Lows will be in the 70s inland but as warm as the lower 80s at the beaches where the onshore flow will cause a moderate rip current risk.  Click ** here ** to download the free First Alert weather iPad App.
