JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Our cold snap went according to plan Wednesday morning as temperatures reached the freezing point at Jacksonville International Airport. The inland forecast matched as well with minimum temps dropping to the mid to upper 20s by I-75 and the Suwannee Valley.
Under abundant sunshine, temperatures have rebounded into the 40s and 50s through mid-morning. The First Alert Forecast is a 63-degree high temp, which is just a shade under our seasonal average.
Expect another chilly morning on Thursday (upper 30s), but temperatures are on the way up. High temperatures will top out around 70 degrees to finish the week.
The next front, scheduled for late Saturday, looks weak. Temperatures take only a slight dip on Sunday. We have no MAJOR cold fronts in the next seven days. We also won't see any significant rainfall...as the dry weather continues.
