JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The flashing lights and swarm of police officers on Oakwood Drive had homeowners on high alert this morning.
It all started with a domestic battery callout. When officers arrived, they discovered more than what they expected and called the Bomb Squad.
"Patrol found several items of concern. There was no device located, but those items give us some concern," Sargeant Chris Kings said.
According to JSO, wires, computer chips and power sources were inside. Those materials, coupled with statements from the suspect-- made officials believe a bomb could be made.
Next door neighbor Bill Tarpley says two brothers in their 20s live there, and that there's frequent foot traffic.
"A lot of activity. None or very little some days. A lot some days," Tarpley said.
Police say there is no threat or danger to neighbors, but that they are keeping their eyes peeled. One of the brothers was arrested, and, at this time, it appears to be an isolated situation.
"There's no other ties that we're aware of. No ties with the community or outside the community," King said.
The one brother who was arrested was taken in on domestic battery charges but not for materials found her. No names have been released. JSO says it's an ongoing investigation but has declined to give any more details.
