Brunswick city commissioner replaced
BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- Gov. Nathan Deal says that 37-year-old Robert Emmitt Nolan will fill the empty seat left by James Brooks.
Brooks was removed from office by the Governor governor earlier this year after he was arrested for on racketeering charges in Camden.
The newly appointed newly-appointed commissioner is no stranger to public life in Brunswick.
He previously served as property appraiser of Glynn County.
Nolan will be sworn in August 7, before the next commission meeting and is planning on running for the commission seat this November.
