BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A Georgia community is mourning the loss of a young mother, and they're banding together to help her family.

Police believe they found the body of 22-year old Amber Whited in a wooded area in Glynn County.

"She was a good girl she was a good friend she did not deserve this," said Michelle Rhymes.

They were friends for six years, co workers for several more, and even a confidant during some of Amber's most challenging situations.

"I looked at her like a little sister to me. Anytime anything was going on she came to me and talked to me about it," Rhymes said.

Rhymes tells Action News she and Amber Whited loved watching YouTube videos together, and that it always made their day at Larry's Giant Subs go a lot faster.

Even though Amber hasn't worked at the shop on highway 341 since January, they decided to hold a fundraiser this Thursday. Twenty percent of the day's proceeds go right to Amber's family.

"Her babies are in need, they don't have a mom now and it's really for a good cause. We have a lot of regulars who still remember Amber and a lot of people are worried so I think it would be a great turnout," said Rhymes.

Toucan's Ale House, located right next to the Harley Davidson where Amber worked, will donate 10 percent of Tuesday's proceeds to help offset the cost of funeral arrangements.

The family tells Action News they are working on getting a time and place set up. Amber's mother Beth tells me she is still in shock and is trying to figure out how she will break the news to Amber's two daughters.

Seaquels Boutique, inside the Glynn Place Mall is also collecing clothing and toy donations for the girls, ages 1 and 4.

Casey Harris with Damsel In Defense tells Action News she is also looking to hold some kind of fundraiser. The entire community is spreading the word about this tragedy, and the fundraisers set up in Amber Whited's name.
