Brush fire approaching homes along Maple Road on Jacksonville’s Westside
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Fire and Rescue says a brush fire is burning near the intersection of Maple and Riddle Roads on the Westside.
According to the Florida Forest Service, the brush fire began Saturday afternoon and has burned 3-4 acres.
JFRD has at least 7 units on scene and more units, including tractors, are on the way.
Action News has learned there are homes nearby but are not threatened by the fire.
