Building fire shuts down Atlantic Boulevard

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Firefighters battled a commercial business fire Saturday morning in the St Nicholas area.

The fire took several hours for units of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department to knock out.

During the fight, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shut down the 3400 block of Atlantic Boulevard for over 3 hours.

No one was injured in the blaze.

The State Fire Marshal's office estimates damage is around $500,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
