Spare the rod and spoil the child…Hmmm…Where have I heard that before!?!? It worked while we were growing up! My butt was "disciplined", NOT 'beat'. Big difference!

I mean, I'm not saying beating kids behinds is a solution for 'bullying'...but 'if one's bark is worse than their bite", and kids 'THINK' they will get a real whooping if they are caught bullying or acting up, it just might make them think twice before they do it themselves.

My kids were rebellous teenagers when I got wind the 'system' would not allow me to 'disipline' them in 'certain' ways or I could face being arrested. And I know these same KIND of kids used that to their advantage with THEIR parents. But when my kids tried that crap 'excuse' on me I smiled and said " Well then, I'm going to jail". That,(thank God) usually, stopped the trouble they started. For 1, they KNEW they were gonna get their behinds beat REGARDLESS and 2, down deep inside, they knew they did not want to be the one responsible for putting their mom in jail. I was a lucky one..they turned out pretty good, but it was God who counted my tears and got us through.

Pass a law to place these under arrest and take them straight to juvinile hall. Suspending them and relocating them does not do a thing except place the problem youth else where. Harsh punishment is the only solution. Think of how many of these kids come from ILLIGITMATE FAMILYS!!

The bully usually is bullied at home. Whether by siblings, parents,or other family members, the reaction is to bully classmates. Been there, done that, not proud of it, but still was mean to a few classmates. I was taller than most and was intimidating as I was intimidated by my divorced parent. When a parent is involved in child's bulling it usually indicates that said parent desperately needs parenting training. As parents we "should" know better, but many enter parenthood with little experience and that leads to the dysfunction of children. As this become more of reported item we will see the pattern of what the causes are as we know that the effect is, which is the bulling. My heart goes out to the kids that are intimidated and deal with this problem that is not of their making. I pray the parents of all the kids involved find the solution to give their kids a better school environment. The school officals can only do so much.
