PALATKA, Fla. -- Two men suspected of being involved in a string of local burglaries were caught in the act, officials say.
Deputies received a call about strange noises coming from a nearby vacant home.
When deputies arrived on scene, they say they discovered Harvey Brown and Jarvis Miller in the progress of burglarizing the home.
When the suspects fled the scene, a foot chase ensued, eventually resulting in their capture and arrest, according to authorities.
Putnam County Sheriff's deputies were involved in an ongoing investigation of five local burglaries at the time of the arrests. They are currently continuing their investigation to determine if these suspects are responsible for the additional crimes and if there are additional thieves.
Both suspects are currently being held at Putnam County jail on charges of burglary, damage, grand theft, and resisting arrest. Additional charges are expected.
