Bus stop blocked off in search for man with a gun
NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. -- A scary situation has ended for students in Nassau County.
The sheriff's office blocked off a bus stop for a short time while deputies searched for a man with a gun.
Authorities say a husband and wife had an argument. The Sheriff's Office was called to a home on Dyal Road about 10:39 a.m. today. The husband threatened his wife, according to Sheriff Bill Leeper, and took off into the woods.
The sheriff's office sent out a reverse 911 call to about 100 parents of students at Callahan Middle and Callahan High schools, alerting them about the bus stop closure.
The suspect is in police custody. All the children affected have been dropped off.
