JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Duval County School District may bring busing back to the magnet program.

Transportation was cut in 2011.

The school district's spokesperson says Superintendent Nikolai Vitti wants to bring it back for the 2013-14 school year.

He also wants busing for after-school activities re-instated.

The move would cost around $5 million.

Right now, parents are exploring area magnet schools for their children. The deadline to turn in applications is February 28. Visit the district's web site for more information on the magnet program.
