JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- We are experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures prior to tonight's cold front. Expect highs to top out around 80 degrees.
It gets active tonight, especially after sunset. A strong cold front will cause thunderstorms...some of them possibly severe. The best chance for rain, lightning, and gusty winds in Jacksonville will be between 9 PM and midnight.
Turning much colder overnight and Friday.
A lake wind advisory is in effect. A fire weather watch is posted as drier air comes in on Friday. A FREEZE watch is also posted for the First Coast late Friday night into Saturday morning.
You should already be preparing for some of the coldest air of the season. Morning temperatures Saturday and Sunday will be close to freezing.
