Car hits tree and causes temporary closure on I-10
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- I-10 westbound was temporarily closed Tuesday after a car clipped a SUV, ran off the road and smashed into a tree.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the westbound lanes of I-10 near Casset Avenue were closed for about an hour after an accident with injuries occurred.
Witnesses say a car clipped the SUV, ran off the side of the road and hit a tree. They also say two kids were involved in the accident.
The extent of injuries is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
